Book Bunch

This club is for the early reader crowd. Participants practice early literacy skills and do fun activities related to the book for the month. Books Bunch features hand-picked books for kids to check out and share together with their adults. September's book is "Eruption!: the Story of Volcanoes" by Anita Ganeri (DK Reader Level 2). When you register for Book Bunch you will receive a copy of this book to check out from the library. For children in kindergarten through grade two.

Registration is required. Please sign-up in person at the Children’s Desk on the first floor of the library. Registration begins one month before the session.

Brick Builders

Book Buddies

Read good books and talk about them with your friends. Book Buddies is a book discussion group for third through fifth graders. September's book is "Lawn Boy" by Gary Paulsen. When you register for Book Buddies you will receive a copy of this book to check out from the library.

Craft Club

Paper Pals

Family Movie Matinee

Enjoy a great new DVD release, appropriate for the entire family, on the big screen. September's movie is about some local wildlife who will stop at nothing to keep developers from destroying their forest home. For all ages, however, children under ten must be accompanied by an adult.

Children's Area of Beaverton City Library Main

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to therapy dogs. The
dog-and-handler teams are registered volunteers with Delta Society's Pet Partners Program, sponsored by DoveLewis. This program is for children who are reading on their own. Sessions are 20 minutes in length. Space in this program is limited.

This program is made possible by the Dove Lewis Animal Assisted Therapy and Education Program and Delta Society.
