Class Visits
The Children’s Division provides tours and class visits to local area preschools, elementary schools and homeschool groups. Please phone (503) 350-3600 to inquire about having your group visit. Class visits and tours are offered subject to the availability of library staff. We will make every effort to accommodate groups. However, due to other library children’s programs and events, we may not be able to schedule every group who requests a visit. Please give at least two weeks’ notice for any request for a tour or visit.
Classes who wish to apply for library cards for their students, please download the library card application:
Applications must:
- Be signed by the parent or guardian of the child.
- Proof of the child’s home address must accompany the application. Class lists from school are acceptable proof of address.
- Applications must be turned in one week before the visit to allow time to prepare the cards. Applications turned in after this deadline will not be processed in time for students to receive their cards on the day they visit.
