WHO WE ARE

We are teens in grades 6-12 who make the Library a great place for teens! Our mission is to help the library develop resources, services & events to fulfill teens' needs & interests and to promote the library to teens & the larger community.

WHAT WE DO
  • Plan teen events
  • Help plan special events (like Teen Summer Reading & Teen Read Week)
  • Help choose materials (books, movies, music) for the teen section
  • Write reviews of books, music & movies. Check out our Reviews
  • Promote the library as a great place for teens
  • Counsel the Library on ways to make the Library (and the YA Room) more effective
WHEN WE MEET

YOU CAN JOIN!
TLC is a great opportunity. Not only do we make a positive difference for other teens and our community, but we gain skills and experience, hang out with other teens, and get to tell others what to do for a change! We also get volunteer credit for all our work for the library.

If you're interested in joining, you can download a copy of the application (PDF). Return it along with a completed Beaverton City Library volunteer application.
