Sing the Sorrow by A.F.I. (YA POP/ROCK AFI SING) Definitely worth a listen. "Sing The Sorrow" is a great record and has the best of many rock sub-genres, including goth-rock and punk-rock influences. The best songs on this record include "The Leaving Song Pt. II," "Silver & Cold," "Dancing Through Sunday," and "Girls Not Grey." A.F.I stands for A Fire Inside. It includes Davey Havok, who is the lead vocalist, Jade Puget, the guitarist, Adam Carson on drums, and Hunter on bass. A.F.I is one of the bands leading the straight-edge revolution by swearing off drinking and drugs, among other things. The song with the best lyrics is probably "Paper Airplanes (Makeshift Wings)": "Raise high monolithic statues so fragile./ As they fall I am ever enthralled./ Gaze, lie and smirk in time./ Your arrogance will suit you well 'til fashion is dispelled./ As waves of plastic fame are going out of fashion,/ you're/ going out forever unknown." I would give this record four stars out of five because even though some of the songs on it are really catchy and get stuck in your head, like "Celluloid Dream," others lack a good beat, even though they make up for it with deep lyrics.
