An author who writers about haunted places goes to New York to rent room 1408 in a famous old hotel. It is said to be a place where anyone who walks into the room will die because it is full of evil. Needless to say, a lot of crazy things end up happening to him once he shuts the door!

It was great. Although it had some good "jump-out-of-your-seat" moments, it was not too scary.
