Wireless Internet Access
Free Wireless Hot Spot Access at BCL
The Beaverton City Library provides free wireless Internet access for your personal laptop computer. This service is available thoughout the Library. If you have a wireless enabled laptop it is as simple as turning on your computer, launching your Web browser and surfing the net.
How the service works:
- Users need to supply and
configure their own equipment.
- Users need a library card number and password to login or a guest wifi pass.
- Printing and software programs are not available via the wireless connection.
- Library Staff cannot provide instruction or assist with setting up your equipment.
- As with most public wireless "hot spots," the Library’s wireless connection is not secure.
- The Library’s "Acceptable Use Guidelines for the Internet" apply to wireless use too.
For more information check at the Reference desk on the 2nd floor of the Library.
