The Volunteer Program
Our volunteer program is essential to the daily operation of the Library with over 200 volunteers contributing over 15,000 hours of their time and talents each year. Library volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and their contribution to the Library community is immeasurable – assisting in circulation, reference, computers, children’s and teen services, processing, interlibrary loans, mending and other special projects.
The Basics: We need volunteers to be 14 years or older and work a minimum of two consecutive hours each week for at least three months.
How to Become a Volunteer
- Submit a Volunteer application:
- If there are current openings that match your interests, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you for an interview.
- If a suitable position is not available at the time of your interview, your application and interest inventory will be placed in a resource file. As positions become available, you will be contacted.
