The teen library council offers teens in grades 7–12 the opportunity to make a positive difference in our community and have input in the way the library serves teens.
The council meets the first and third Tuesdays of every month from 6-7 p.m. at Beaverton City Library Main. Meeting attendance and participation in events are mandatory.
Stuff you'll do:
Plan, promote, and help out with teen & children's library programs
Promote the library to your peers
Participate in TLC meetings twice a month
Help judge writing contests
Give back by helping with community outreach projects
Work as a team & gain leadership experience
Skills and experience (this looks great on a college or job application!)
Applications are accepted July 1 - 31 for the next school year. Completed applications should be turned in at the Teen Desk at Beaverton City Library Main. A time for a short interview will be scheduled in August. Download the 2019-2020 School Year Application.
