Books for Babies

The library wants to help build your new baby’s home library!

If you have a baby under one year old, visit the Children’s Desk at Beaverton City Library--Main or Murray Scholls location—and we will give you a free board books to take home and keep.

It is never too early to start reading to your baby!

Baby’s brains are like sponges and when you read aloud to them daily, you are helping to grow and strengthen your baby’s brain. Reading aloud is also a fantastic way to nurture a loving bond with your baby.

Babies who are read to are more likely to excel in school and become enthusiastic readers when they grow up.

This program is sponsored by the New Friends of Beaverton City Library.
