Capturing History: Students Write About COVID

  1. Contest Information
    The Beaverton City Library is assisting with a Girl Scouts Gold Award project by collecting writings from students in grades 6-12 about the pandemic. How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your life? Your writing can be in the form of an essay, a personal story, a poem, or any other form you choose. Selected writing will be assembled into a booklet and added to the Beaverton City Library’s local history collection. Some writing may also be published and can be kept anonymous if you prefer.
  2. Guidelines
    • The Capturing History writing project is open to students in grades 6-12 in Oregon.
    • Submitted writing must be your original work.
    • Your writing may be submitted to the Oregon Historical Society or assembled into a booklet and added to the local history collection at the Beaverton City Library. Some writing may also be published and can be kept anonymous if you choose.
