Providing Eldercare through Systemic Racism

Thursday, September 17, 2020

Dr. Farida Ejaz will discuss the findings of her 2010 landmark academic study that exposed the prevalence of overt and direct racism experienced by direct care staff in long term care settings and its impact on job satisfaction and performance. With the recent rise in racial tensions across the country and the Black Lives Matter movement, Dr. Ejaz will discuss how the findings have relevance today for improving practice and policy. Followed by a Q & A. Registration recommended. Zoom link: https://multco-us.zoom.us/j/91207060146?pwd=Z01UU2t1R0xBZTVGNndFbkpOZE95Zz09
