The Immigrant Story Live - Gerardo Calderon & His Ensemble

Thursday, September 17, 2020

In partnership with the City of Beaverton, The Immigrant Story presents “The Immigrant Story Story Live,” a two-day event featuring one night of soulful music from south of the border followed by another night of compelling storytelling from immigrants in our community. This livestreamed event will be held as part of Beaverton’s Welcoming Week, an annual event designed to bring the community together, raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone, and create a welcoming society for all. The musical portion of Immigrant Story Live will feature Gerardo Calderon and his ensemble, combining vocals, instrumentals and rhythms of folk musical traditions of Mexico and Central America. This free event is made possible by the generous contribution of the Zidell Family Foundation. Programming is done with the support of the City of Beaverton.
