How can saving seeds support food security and traditional food cultures? What effect do genetically modified organisms have on these systems and what are the ongoing challenges posed by GMO crops in Oregon? Rhianna Simes, Co-Director of Cultivate Oregon, will give context to these issues and discuss the importance of saving the seeds that grow our food, medicine, and fibers. Join us for an afternoon of live storytelling on stage! Our veteran storytellers will entertain the audience with their true, personal stories. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Doors open at 2:30 PM.
