Adult Summer Reading with Beaverton City Library has begun!
This year, Adult Summer Reading participants are reading for a good cause by Reading for Refuge! Track your hours read through Aug. 15 and help support local non-profit organization, Safe Route Immigration. A program of Lutheran Community Services Northwest, Safe Route Immigration provides accessible legal services to refugees and immigrants in Beaverton.
For every 1,500 hours read collectively, the Friends of the Beaverton City Library will donate $100 to Safe Route Immigration (up to $1,000).
Thank you to all who participated in last year's Adult Summer Reading program, Read for Rivers. It was a huge success, with the maximum donation amount going to the Tualatin Riverkeepers.
