  1. Beaverton Civic Theatre presents 'School House Rock Live!'

    October 13, 2018, 7:30 PM @ Library Auditorium

    Based on the Emmy Award-winning 1970s cartoon, Schoolhouse Rock Live! follows Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music.

  1. Fall Book & Media Sale

    October 13, 2018, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ Meeting Rooms A and B

    Join the New Friends of the Beaverton City Library for their annual fall sale at the library, Oct. 10-14. The Friends will have thousands of used books, movies and music available for purchase at unbeatable prices. Book-lovers will enjoy a huge selection of fiction and non-fiction titles in all genres and areas of interest. The Friends will have a large offering of children’s books and some foreign language items for sale, too. A Members-only Night kicks off the sale, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 4:30-8 p.m. Membership will be available at the door. The sale continues Thursday, Oct. 11, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. On Sunday, Oct. 14, 12-6 p.m., everything is half-price! Sale proceeds benefit Beaverton City Library.

    Children can practice their reading with one of our trained therapy dog volunteers! Ages 6-12 with adult. Registration required; call or stop by the Children's Desk to register.

  1. Teen Read Week - "It's written in the stars... READ."

    "It's written in the stars... READ." Stop by the Teen Room or the Murray Scholls branch to pick up a free copy of "Jackaby" by William Ritter, who will also be appearing at Tigard and Hillsboro libraries and Sunset High School. Books available while supplies last. Grades 6-12.
