  2. Tertulia Literaria Mensual

    ¿Cuándo? El segundo martes de cada mes en la Biblioteca de la Ciudad de Beaverton de 6 de la tarde a 8 de la noche. Comenzamos el 11 de septiembre de 2018. ¿Qué haremos? Compartiremos nuestras ideas leyendo poesías, cuentos, novelas y otros libros juntos. Podremos recomendarnos libros de la biblioteca y hasta dejarles recomendaciones a nuestros vecinos. La biblioteca nos brindará el café, el lugar y los libros. Nosotros, la imaginación y la amistad. La literatura es parte de nuestra cultura. Desde 2014, la biblioteca ha enviado compradores a la Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara, Jalisco todos los años. ¡Aprovechemos este excelente recurso! Facilitada por Helen Eby, traductora de español certificada por la Asociación de Traductores de los Estados Unidos. (Beaverton City Library is hosting a discussion group of Spanish literature, led in Spanish, on the second Tuesday of the month starting in September 2018.)

  2. The Magic of Children's Literature: A Training for Child Care Providers

    Books can transport us to magical places! This two–hour training session offers a basic understanding of how to incorporate developmentally-appropriate books into the early care and education setting, as well as an understanding of how to read books to young children. Registration required.

  1. Toddler Storytime

    Toddlers will enjoy this interactive storytime that includes books, action songs, rhymes, flannelboard stories and other fun activities that encourage a love of reading books! There is also a simple craft to do or take home and enjoy at the end of each storytime. For toddlers ages 2-3. Limited to the first 50 people.

    A playgroup for children ages 12-36 months and their caregivers. Join us for toys, socialization time and bubbles directly after storytime. Families are welcome to join us even if they do not attend storytime. Doors open at 10:45 am.

    Preschool Storytime is filled with interactive books, flannelboard stories, music and songs that will help your child develop the skills they need to get ready to read! It also promotes critical and imaginative thinking as well as social skills. A craft at the end reinforces the storytime theme. For kids ages 3-6.
