  1. Community Crafting for Adults

    May 20, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Meeting Room A

    Come try out Kraft-Tex, a new paper-fabric hybrid! It can be washed and sewn like fabric, but decorated and folded like paper. We’ll use Kraft-Tex and sewing machines to make zippered pouches. Sewing machine use is necessary to complete the project. Help will be provided. Community Crafting for Adults meets every other month to present a new craft. Previous skills are not required, but creativity and conversation are highly encouraged! Ages 16 & up. Registration required.

    In this special 6-session series, families enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage the development of early learning practices. We will show you how to get your child ready for Kindergarten with music, stories, art, and play! Ages 4-5 with adult. Registration required.

    Do you dig it? Why do people have compost/worm bins? Find out in this interactive program where we bring a working worm bin for participants to investigate each wormy layer up close. Learn about healthy soil and decomposers, and how plants and animals need both to survive. Grades K-5 with family.

  1. Maker Studio

    May 20, 2019, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Teen Room

    Hang out in the Teen Room and use various materials from the Maker Cart to create something truly original. We'll provide supplies including washi tape; origaimi paper; kinitting needles and yarn; and more--you bring your ideas for this drop-in, self-directed crafting time. Grades 6-12.
