Welcome to our new makerspace, DAM (Design And Make)! During Open Lab hours, the makerspace is open for all ages. Drop in to explore and use any equipment available. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month all month long by finding books by or about notable people of Hispanic heritage and cultures. There are two opportunities to win prizes! Grades K-5.

Write a one-page or shorter scary story for a chance to win a Powell's gift card! There will be $100, $50, and $25 gift cards for one winner each in middle school and high school. Young Willamette Writers and Beaverton City Library invite readers and aspiring writers to attend a series of talks by Oregon authors on the first Saturday of each month. Katherine Quevedo is a prize-nominated poet and fiction writer. Her debut mini-chapbook, "The Inca Weaver’s Tales," is forthcoming from Sword & Kettle Press. Her poems have appeared in Triangulation: Energy, Honeyguide Literary Magazine, Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, Coffin Bell, NonBinary Review, Sidequest, and elsewhere.
