The New Friends of the Beaverton City Library is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes library service in Beaverton by:
Providing Beaverton City Library with supplemental revenue for materials and services not covered by the library budget. The primary fundraising effort of the Friends is The Book Corner.
Funding a large portion of the library's Summer Reading program.
Strengthening relations between the library and schools, local businesses, and other community organizations.
Promoting public awareness of the many resources and services provided by the library.
The Book Corner
In 1996, the Friends opened The Book Corner. The store offers a wide variety of high quality used books, videos and other materials for sale at low prices. The Friends also host sales on Amazon.
