Beaverton City Library’s Belonging Committee is a staff committee that transitioned from the Anti-Racism Action Committee to its current iteration in 2025. The goals of the committee for fiscal year 2025-2026 are:
- Self-reflection: Nurture a space for self-reflection and growth by engaging library staff, management, and Belonging Committee members with relevant content via our Talk Story sessions.
- Policies: Review library policies with our Equity Everyday card to advocate for relevant changes and updates.
- Committee Transition: Shift from a committee focused on anti-racism work to one that is more broadly focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
