Touring the Library
The Youth Services Division provides tours and class visits to local area youth organizations, preschools, schools and homeschool groups. Please give at least one month notice for any request for a tour or field trip to the library.
Class visits and tours are offered subject to the availability of library staff. We will make every effort to accommodate groups. However, due to other library programs and events, we may not be able to schedule every group who requests a visit. Please note, groups over 30 students may take more time to schedule.
*During Storytime Breaks we have increased availability.
Please allow three (3) business days for library staff to contact you about scheduling your visit.
Library Card Applications for Class Visits (K-12 only):
For class visits only:
- Be accompanied by proof of the child’s home address. Class lists from school are acceptable proof of address.
- Be turned in one week before the visit to allow time to prepare the cards. Applications turned in after this deadline will not be processed in time for students to receive their cards on the day they visit.
