Bringing the Library to the Community

Access to books and reading together is one of the best ways to build a lifelong love of reading.

The Beaverton City Library’s Library On Wheels (L.O.W.) program helps get books in the hands of kids in child care centers and in-home child cares who may have trouble regularly visiting the library in person.

Every three weeks library staff brings a bag of paperback picture books to child care facilities, and rotates the books between 45 child cares in the Beaverton area. Library staff also provide storytimes when visiting child care centers.

In 2019 L.O.W. served over 15,000 children in Beaverton and the surrounding area.

Interested in having L.O.W. visit your daycare?

Check out this flyer to see if your child care is in our service area.

Currently we have a waiting list.
